General information on ticket changes

Please note that when changing your flight, you must also change any additional services you have booked, such as seat selection, baggage and/or meals.

Is your flight due to depart within the next 4 hours? Please contact the airline immediately (by phone or in person at the airport).

Log in to ‘My Trips’ to view detailed booking information or carry out other actions related to your booking.

If you have purchased our Standard Refund Conditions from us, you will receive a refund of 75% of the ticket price, and if you have purchased the Enhanced Refund Conditions – 75% of the ticket price (excluding booking fees, cancellation guarantee service fees and other products or additional services). You can cancel your flight at least 48 hours before departure. If you have selected ‘Cancellation Guarantee’, we will need to receive a medical certificate or death certificate in order to process a refund in the event of cancellation. If you select either the ‘Cancellation Guarantee’ or ‘Cancellation Guarantee Plus’ package, we will refund the money to your account within 15 days.

Please review the full terms and conditions of the ‘Basic Refund Terms and Conditions’ and the ‘Enhanced Refund Terms and Conditions’.

If you have taken out travel insurance with another insurer, or not through an insurer at all, you will receive a cancellation invoice from us including a cancellation fee. For flight changes that require us to contact the airlines directly, we apply a ticket fee depending on the service package purchased (full package – 29 EUR, extended package – €19, basic package – €0). In the event of cancellation, we will not refund service charges, administration fees or costs for other services.

Tip: If a ticket cannot be cancelled, it is sometimes possible to exchange it for another one. You may still be able to use your ticket on another occasion.

Enhanced Refund Policy

Did you know that you are unlikely to get a refund if, after booking, you are unable to travel due to an unexpected incident? Most fares are ‘restricted economy class’. This means that changes and cancellations are not permitted, and the ticket is non-refundable.

Get a 100% refund of your ticket price*, if you are unable to travel and can prove one of the many reasons set out in our Terms and Conditions, which you agree to by selecting a Refundable Booking.

Reasons for a refund include:

  • COVID-19 infection
  • Adverse weather
  • Illness/injury
  • Emergency home care
  • Pre-existing medical condition
  • Theft of documents
  • Pregnancy complications
  • Jury duty
  • Death of a family member
  • Court summons
  • Public transport disruption
  • Cancellation by the armed forces or emergency services
  • Flight disruption whilst travelling to a booking
  • Work relocation
  • Mechanical breakdown of a vehicle whilst travelling to a booking
  • Changes to exam dates
  • And more

See the Terms and Conditions.

What are the benefits of the Standard Refund Terms and the Enhanced Refund Terms?

  • You can easily purchase them when booking a flight*/**The ticket price includes the cost of your ticket and taxes (excluding any other surcharges).
  • The Enhanced Refund Conditions allow you to receive a 100% refund of the ticket price* within 48 hours if you need to cancel your trip at any time due to one of a number of unforeseen circumstances.

Key Refund Terms

Get a refund for your flight ticket*!

Did you know that if you buy tickets and something unexpected happens, meaning you can no longer travel, you would normally lose the money you paid for the ticket? The cheapest tickets usually come with the strictest conditions, which means that changes or cancellations are not permitted.

But what if you or a close family member (one or both parents, a registered partner, or a child or children) falls seriously ill or, worse still, dies? Don’t want to take the risk of losing your money? We offer the option to purchase ‘Basic Refund Conditions’.

What are the benefits of the ‘Basic Refund Conditions’?

You can easily purchase them when booking your flight

You’ll receive compensation in the event of illness or death

The same terms apply to anyone travelling with you and your immediate family members

You can cancel your flight at least 24 hours before departure

You’ll receive a refund of at least 75% of the ticket price within 15 days (*booking fees and the cost of other products or additional services are not included)

Applies to all travellers and all segments of the same booked ticket.

Important

If you select the ‘Standard Refund Conditions’ and wish to claim compensation, you will need to provide a medical certificate bearing an official stamp.

Please note that the ‘Basic Refund Conditions’ can only be purchased at the time of booking – they cannot be added to the booking at a later date. The ‘Basic Refund Conditions’ cannot be cancelled, and the money paid for them cannot be refunded. The cost of this guarantee will also not be refunded in the event of cancellation.

If you wish to cancel, please contact the MyTrips centre first (by phone or email), and only then will we be able to begin the cancellation process. The cancellation applies to the entire booking and all participants. Is your flight due to depart within the next 48 hours? If so, please contact the customer service centre by telephone as soon as possible.

The ‘General Refund Terms and Conditions’ apply only if the traveller has no medical conditions at the time of booking.

Whether you can change the flight date or route depends on the ticket you have purchased. Different conditions apply to each ticket. You can find the ticket conditions during the payment stage when purchasing your ticket.

Log in to ‘My Trips’ to view your detailed booking information. You can amend your booking in the ‘My Trips’ section.
In most cases, airlines allow changes to be made for a fee. You can find more information on the ‘How much does it cost to change a flight?’ page. Sometimes the conditions are so strict that you won’t be able to make any changes. If you still want to change the flight date or route, unfortunately you’ll have to buy another ticket.

If you are changing your flight, please check the validity of your travel documents and visa. Please note that any additional services you have booked, such as seat selection, baggage and/or in-flight meals, will also need to be changed.

If an airline cancels a flight 14 days before departure, or if the flight is significantly delayed (by more than three hours), under EU Regulation No 261/2004, you are entitled to compensation. Whether you are entitled to compensation depends on various factors, such as the reason for the cancellation or delay, the route and the airline you were due to fly with. It can sometimes be difficult to successfully claim compensation. Our partner, Air Help, specialises in claiming compensation on behalf of passengers for delays or denied boarding. They can help you on a ‘no win, no fee’ basis. They only deduct their fee from any compensation successfully claimed.

If the terms and conditions allow you to change your ticket, the airline will change your ticket for a fee. The new flight may be more expensive, in which case you’ll need to pay the difference in price. Our ticket change fee per person* is €21. In short, you need to take the following fees into account:

  • Airline change fee
  • Possible difference in flight prices
  • Greitai.lt change fee

You can find more information on the ‘How to change a flight?’ page.

*If you have purchased a package of additional services, the Greitai.lt change fee will be lower, or we will waive it altogether.

Due to changes to the flight timetable, your booked flight may also be cancelled. The airline will usually offer you an alternative flight. If this alternative does not suit you, you will usually be able to cancel your flight free of charge. We will inform you of the alternative offered by the airline and the terms and conditions of your ticket so that you can make an informed decision.

Whether you will receive a refund when cancelling your ticket will depend on the cancellation terms applicable to your ticket. We will inform you once you have completed the cancellation form. In addition to any charges applied by the airline, we will charge a €21 administration fee for the cancellation. Booking, insurance and payment fees are non-refundable.

Tip: If you cannot cancel, it is sometimes possible to rebook your ticket. So you may still be able to use your ticket after all.

If you wish to change the details of the person who booked the tickets after the booking has been made, this will cost an additional €9
(unless you have purchased the full package, in which case you will not be charged a service fee).

One or more of the following details may be changed:

  • The name of the person who booked the tickets
  • Business – yes or no
  • Country
  • Email address
  • Telephone number

Please note! Changing customer details is a separate service from changing passenger details. If you wish to change the name on your flight ticket, an administration fee of €21 will apply, and you will need to cover any charges imposed by the airline for the name change.

Occasionally, airlines may change a flight’s departure time for operational reasons. Sometimes this is only a minor change to the time. In such cases, we will inform you and send you an amended ticket with the new flight details. It may happen that the airline changes the scheduled flight time. Sometimes the difference in time is minor. In such cases, we will update your details and you will receive a revised ticket in line with the new timetable. If the time difference is significant (four to five hours or more), you are often given the option to change your flight by selecting a different date, or even to cancel it if the new timetable is unsuitable. However, this depends on the terms and conditions set by the airline and your ticket. Please check your specific situation by logging in to the ‘My Trips’ section.

Your ticket has already been booked, and when you receive your e-ticket, you realise that… oh no, the name is incorrect or has been spelt wrong… What should you do?

Please contact us as soon as possible, ideally on the same day. However, it is not always possible to change the first name or surname on the ticket. We will always do our utmost to ensure the airline makes the change. If the airline permits a change to the first name or surname, we charge a €21 amendment fee per ticket. Any fees charged by the airline will be added to this. It is important to note that it is almost impossible to change the first name or surname on a ticket at the weekend. Airlines are usually closed at weekends, so it is not possible to make any amendments.

Transferring your ticket to another person is almost never permitted.

Did you book on or after 29 September 2021? Log in to ‘My Trips’ to view your booking status or make changes to your booking.
The procedure below applies to all bookings made before 29 September 2021: please contact us if you wish to change your first name or surname.

Have you made a mistake when booking your flight ticket? Have you misspelt your name, or booked your ticket for the wrong date or even the wrong route? Please contact our customer service centre as soon as possible.

Please note! Did you make your booking on or after 29 September 2021? Log in to ‘My Trips’ to view your full booking details, make changes or add extra services.

If you wish to change any additional services you have booked, we will apply the following charge:

  • When changing a booked seat – a €0 administration fee per person (excluding any higher fee for the new seat)
  • Changing your baggage allowance – a €35 administration fee per person (excluding baggage charges).

Please also note the following:

  • If you make any changes, please check that your travel documents and visas are still valid.
