How to get to Niue
The journey to Niue is made by Air New Zealand from Auckland, New Zealand. The flight time is about 3 hours and 30 minutes.
Important: As of 1 November 2024, there will be only one flight per week leaving Auckland on Saturdays and arriving in Niue on Fridays due to the date limit. From 6 May 2025 until the end of October 2025, a second flight will be offered, departing from Auckland on Tuesdays and landing in Niue on Mondays.
Tip: Check current flight times on Air New Zealand's website as they may change due to daylight saving time.
Niue airport
Niue International Airport, Hanan International Airport (IUE), is located just minutes from Alofi, the island's capital. As there is no public transport on Niue, you should arrange your transfer from the airport to your accommodation in advance.
Entry requirements
German citizens do not need a visa to enter Niue if the stay does not exceed 30 days. However, you must have a return ticket or an onward ticket and sufficient financial resources for the duration of your stay. Your passport must be valid for at least 3 months beyond the planned departure date.
Tip: Visitors must book their accommodation in advance for the duration of their stay. This information is required upon entry.
