Gal dėl to, kad esu katalikė, man ši šalis jau turi savo „štampą“. Tačiau vilnietė Rūta Mickuvienė į Izraelį vyko be jokių nuostatų ir atvira visiems potyriams. Jų ir sulaukė – nuo kovos prieš blogį pasienyje, iki šurmulingų turgaviečių, nuo žadą atimančio maisto, iki beprotiškos kaitros. O sakoma, kai įspūdžių nors vežimu vežk, vadinasi, atostogos buvo puikios.

Nors Tel Avive teko lankytis ne vieną kartą, tikriausiai įsimintiniausia diena šiame mieste buvo pirmo mano vizito Izraelyje metu. Ryte atsisveikinusi su savo į darbą išėjusiu couchsurfer‘iu, paskutinę dieną Izraelyje maniau praleisianti viena, tiesiog – kad ir su sunkoka kuprine – bevaikštinėdama po miestą ir bandydama žiemos metu įgauti kiek įdegio (ech, tas lietuviškas mentalitetas). Tačiau vos įkėlus koją į miesto paplūdimį, viskas pasisuko visiškai kitokia ir daug smagesne, nei galėjau planuoti, linkme.

Beieškodama pigių skrydžių savo žiemos atostogų metu, aptikau itin patrauklų variantą. Budapeštas – Tel Avivas. Izraelis… Hmmm, kad ir kiek vakarietiškuose, bet Artimuosiuose Rytuose tada dar nebuvau buvusi, tad griebiau tuos bilietus ir po kiek laiko, su sunkoka kuprine, jau nekantravau pamatyti viską, ką tik laikas leido.
