Kertant Argentinos sieną apie šią šalį žinojau tik tiek, kad ji yra…didelė. Žinoma, girdėjau apie Če Gevarą, argentinietiškus vynus ir tango, bet tai turbūt ir viskas. Todėl nepamačiau nei Iguazu krioklių, nei Buenos Airių, nei fantastiškos Saltos regiono architektūros ir gamtos: moviau tiesiai į Vakarus, nes be galo magėjo pamatyti senutį Atlantą ir leistis jo pakrante žemyn iki Patagonijos. Tik gerokai vėliau susigaudžiau, kad mano pasirinktas Ruta 3 greitkelis kitų motociklininkų laikomas pačiu nuobodžiausiu Argentinos keliu. Negana to, pralėkiau Bahia Blanca, nesustodama pasilepinti saule ir paplūdimiais, ir neužsukau į Puerto Madryn pamatyti banginių ir ruonių:be galo traukė Argentinos Patagonija, kraštas, apie kurį dar vaikystėje išgirdau iš improvizuotų tėčio istorijų iš Žiulio Verno knygų.
