Book with confidence
We understand that you want to know what to expect when booking travel these days. Whether it’s a flight, a hotel or a car hire, you need to be aware of all the terms and conditions for changing or cancelling your booking, in case you’re unable to travel. We’re here to guide you through these unusual times.
Book your flight with confidence
If you’re unsure whether to book flight tickets, follow the steps and advice below:
- Before choosing your destination, we recommend checking the latest travel information to ensure that flights are permitted. You should also make sure that the destination you wish to visit is accepting travellers from abroad.
- Before booking a flight, check the options for cancelling or changing the date of your flight. Below is an overview of all possible changes and cancellations.
Broadly speaking, there are four types of changes and cancellations:
- Voluntary changes: these are changes requested by the customer. In almost all cases, they are subject to a fee. You can reduce these costs at the time of booking by purchasing an extended service package.
- Voluntary cancellations: these are cancellations of a booking or part thereof requested by the customer. In almost all cases, a cancellation incurs an additional charge. Costs may vary depending on the airline. In some cases, you may not be able to get a refund for your flight. A voluntary change may be a cheaper alternative, provided it is permitted.
- Compulsory changes: these are changes to the timetable made by the airlines; they may be minor (up to 3 hours) or significant (over 3 hours). You will always be informed by us of minor changes and will receive tickets adjusted to reflect these changes. For major changes, we need to check the terms and conditions with the airline. We will offer you our service to help you choose a suitable alternative. If no alternatives are available, your flight will be cancelled and your money refunded*.
- Forced cancellations: these are cancellations made by the airline, over which we have no control. If an airline cancels a flight, in most cases you will receive a refund or be offered an alternative flight. In any case, you will receive an email from us explaining the situation. If no alternative is offered, your flight booking will be cancelled and your money will be refunded* to you.
*Excluding booking fees and additional services.
- Book a safe and healthy holiday by choosing our ‘Europ Assistance’ travel insurance. With this cover, you can enjoy a worry-free stay wherever you are. Medical assistance in the event of contracting Covid-19 is also included in the cover.
Book your stay with confidence
Book your stay with flexible terms. With our partner Booking.com, you can book your stay hassle-free and with free cancellation. This benefit, where applicable, is marked in green. The last day on which you can cancel your stay is also indicated. Make sure you don’t miss out on the best deal. Click here to find out more.
Book a car with confidence
Book a car with flexible terms. With our partners at Rentalcars.com, you can book a car hire and, in most cases, get free cancellation up to 48 hours before collecting the car. For more details, visit here.
When you search for a cheap return flight on our website, we display all search results on a single page. As well as return flights with a single airline, we also show flights that may consist of two legs with one or more airlines.
A return flight comprising two separate flights may be cheaper than a ticket with a single airline. Please note that flight conditions may vary between different airlines. These conditions are set out here.
Were you not allowed to select seats or book extra baggage when booking your flight, because you were told the flight was operated by another airline? In that case, you’ve most likely come across a codeshare flight. This means that the options for booking seats or extra baggage are limited and only available at the time of check-in.
Unfortunately, in most cases it is not possible to book seats or extra baggage for codeshare flights online or by telephone. These services can only be booked at the airport when you check in for your flight. Would you like to find out if your flight is a codeshare flight? Click here.
On the TGreitai.lt website, you can book cheap flights online 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Enter your preferences, start your search and compare all airlines. Select your preferred flight and book your ticket securely in just a few steps.
Important: The person making the booking (the main booker) must be at least 18 years old. If passengers under the age of 16 are not accompanied by an adult, an escort can be booked in advance. Some airlines (including Ryanair) do not allow passengers under the age of 16 to travel unaccompanied. For more information on unaccompanied minors, please contact us directly or the airline.

Search
You’ll find the search box on the homepage. By default, departures from London are shown; select your destination, travel dates, enter the number of people and click ‘Search’. If you wish to depart from an airport other than London, you can easily adjust the details in the search box. You can also choose a one-way journey rather than a return journey.
You’ll see a loading screen. Your search is being processed and will be checked immediately to see if any flights are available.
On the results page, you’ll see available flights based on your travel dates and route, along with the current fare. The price includes airport charges but does not include any baggage fees. For each flight, it is indicated whether baggage is included in the price or not. At the top left, you can add additional filters/options to help you choose the best solution for your trip. Select your outbound flight and continue by selecting your return flight (if you’ve chosen a return journey). Click the arrow next to the flight to view the full flight schedule.
Continue to the ‘Personal Details’ section. You are now on the screen where you can enter your personal details. First, enter the passenger(s)’ details. Please note that first names and surnames must match exactly as they appear in the passport! In most cases, the main contact person is one of the passengers. However, the main booker may be someone other than the passenger(s). In this case, you must select the option ‘Main booker is not travelling’.
Continue by going to the ‘Baggage and Seats’ section. Here you can add extra baggage and preferred seats to your booking. If this cannot be booked online, you can always go to the ‘My Trips’ section after making your booking and request that these be added to your booking. Please note that an administration fee will be charged in addition to all airline charges, unless you have purchased special services.
You can then choose the **‘Standard Refund Conditions’ or ‘Enhanced Refund Conditions’** service.
To ensure you’re fully covered and your trip is well organised, you can also choose the service package that best suits you, as well as other additional services, such as:
- Flexible travel ticket
- Compensation guarantee
- Insurance against bankruptcy
- Level of customer service
On the next page, you will find a summary of your trip. Please check all first names, surnames and details. This is extremely important. If, after checking everything, you have not found any errors, please proceed with the payment.
Enter your payment details and, by confirming, agree to the terms and conditions set out below. Once the payment has been processed, you will receive an email with your flight booking confirmation. Please note that this is only a booking confirmation, not your e-ticket. You will receive your e-tickets within the next 24 hours, as soon as your tickets have been issued.
The first name and surname on the ticket must always exactly match those written in your passport. Therefore, in the ‘First name’ field, write your full first name as it appears in your passport, using Latin letters. If the passenger’s name is Birutė Basanavičienė, then in the ‘First name’ field, enter ‘Birute’. In the next field, enter the surname as it appears in your passport.
Example of first name and surname on a ticket:
Birutė Basanavičienė
– First name: Birute
– Surname: Basanaviciene
What first name and surname should I use if I am married?
If you are married, ALWAYS use the first name and surname as they appear in your passport. If your passport shows the surname you had before marriage, use that surname when buying tickets.
How should I write it?
– First name: Birute
– Surname: Basanaviciene
How should punctuation be used?
Note: Tickets must never contain accents, hyphens, other symbols or spaces. You must write everything together, without spaces or punctuation marks. The surname Ter-Haar must be entered as Terhaar. The first name Henriëtte must be entered as Henriette.
If you’re placing your order via Greitai.lt, you’ll receive your order confirmation and invoice by email. This usually takes about 5–10 minutes, but sometimes you may have to wait a little longer. If you haven’t received an order confirmation, please check your ‘Spam’ folder. If you haven’t received the email, there may be an issue with your order. In that case, please contact our customer service centre.
A codeshare flight is a flight offered by airline A but operated by its partner, airline B.
How can you recognise a codeshare flight?
A codeshare flight can usually be identified by its flight number, which consists of high numbers; typically, the flight number falls within the range of 6000 to 9000.
Example 1:
Flight number – KL6025. However, it may also start with 3000 and be AF 3614. Both flight numbers refer to the same flight, whose original number is DL 091. DL stands for Delta Airlines – a member of the same SkyTeam alliance. In this case, KLM and Air France are codeshare partners; they offer the flight but do not operate it themselves – it is operated by Delta Airlines (with the low flight number DL 091).
Example 2:
EY454 is an Etihad Airways flight from Abu Dhabi to Sydney. This flight has more than 15 different flight numbers (such as AF3820, KL 3938 or NZ4254).
Why are codeshare flights offered?
Codeshare flights are usually offered by airlines belonging to the same alliance (e.g. SkyTeam, Star Alliance or OneWorld). For example, an airline may offer a flight under its own codeshare flight number, but not operate it itself. Instead, it uses alliance partners to operate the flight. This makes it possible to offer a greater number of flights.
Do you have a discount code? If so, when booking a flight, you can apply it before making payment or provide the details over the phone by calling the customer service centre.
Discount code terms and conditions
- All discount codes are valid for a limited period;
- they can only be used when booking flights;
- they cannot be exchanged for cash;
- they cannot be combined with other offers;
- each customer may use only one discount code per booking;
- when booking a ticket, enter the discount code on the website or give the code to a member of staff over the phone when making your booking;
- the code is valid for one-time use only;
- once the expiry date has passed, you will no longer be able to use the discount code;
- Once you have booked your ticket, you will not be able to reclaim the discount code.
When booking flight tickets, for an additional fee, most airlines allow you to select your seat on the plane. This is particularly convenient as you can choose a seat next to your travel companion, or if you prefer to sit by the window or by the aisle. As each airline has its own seat map and applies different pricing, we use the seat selection options listed below.
Seat next to an emergency exit (extra legroom)
When booking tickets on our website, you will notice that some airlines offer the option to select a seat next to an emergency exit. These seats are marked in orange and, in most cases, offer extra legroom. Any passenger who does not have a medical condition or is not pregnant may select this seat.
Preferred economy seats (seats at the front of the aircraft)
Preferred economy seats are usually located at the front of the aircraft. They offer the same conditions as standard economy seats and are marked in blue.
Standard economy seats
These seats are usually located behind the preferred economy seats and are standard economy seats.
Unavailable seats are marked with an X
If you see a seat marked with an ‘X’ on the seat map, this means that, unfortunately, you cannot select these seats.
Please note! On some routes, airlines may not offer the option to select seats. The number of seats available may also vary depending on the aircraft type.
If you have booked seats after purchasing your flight tickets, you will unfortunately not be eligible for a refund for your seat selection should the flight be cancelled.
Greitai.lt displays flight ticket prices, including airport charges, fuel surcharges and security charges. Depending on the flight ticket you have booked, baggage may not be included in your ticket.
There are several different ways to pay. When you book a flight on the website, choose the payment method that suits you best. If, after booking your ticket, you wish to book baggage, a seat, insurance or another service, you will receive a payment link in a separate email. You will also receive a payment link if you wish to change your flight. You can pay by phone, or via a laptop, desktop computer or tablet.
Seats can be reserved on most flights, with the exception of code-share flights.
Some airlines charge an additional fee for seat selection. The cost of a seat depends on the airline and the route. Plus a fee for the selected seat.
If you do not reserve a seat, the airline will allocate seats automatically. You may also sometimes be able to change your seat when checking in for your flight.
Please note!
You can also book a ticket via our customer service team by email. The new procedure applies to bookings made on or after 29 September 2021. For any questions or requests regarding your booking, please visit the ‘My Trips’ section.
You do not need to enter your passport number when booking a ticket. You will only need to enter your passport number when checking in for your flight (online).
Sometimes a booking may fail. This may be due to technical issues with the website or because the flight is no longer available. However, this is very rare, but if you do not see a booking confirmation on the screen, please check whether you have received an email confirming that your payment has been successfully processed (please also check your ‘Spam’ folder).
If your payment has been accepted, we will send you a confirmation email and will do our utmost to process your booking. If the payment was not successful and you have not received an order confirmation, you will need to rebook your tickets. If you are unsure, please contact our customer service centre by phone or email first.
When booking flight tickets for a child aged between 2 and 11, some airlines offer discounts. The main condition is that the child must be aged 11 or under at the time of the flight. Whether a discount applies to a child depends on the terms and conditions of the airline you plan to fly with.
Exception: If a child is 11 years old on the outbound flight and 12 years old on the return flight, they will usually be charged the adult fare. However, this condition also depends on the specific airline. If you have any questions, please contact our customer service centre.
If you wish to book a flight for a minor travelling alone (aged 5–16), some airlines offer what is known as an unaccompanied minor service in such cases. In such cases, special assistance is required from the airline.
Unfortunately, once you have booked your flight, you will no longer be able to use the discount code. You can only use the discount code when booking your flight.
Our website is fully secured. You can check the SSL connection yourself. When placing an order, you will see a padlock icon in the menu bar. This means you can be sure that your payment is secure.
If you wish to book a ticket for a child travelling alone, you must ensure you have the necessary documents. Minors under the age of 16 travelling without adult supervision may need to book the unaccompanied minor service. Some airlines (e.g. Ryanair) do not allow minors to travel alone. Before booking a flight, always check the airline’s terms and conditions, or contact their customer service centre for further information.
Please note! Did you make your booking on or after 9 September 2021? Log in to ‘My Trips’ to view your full booking details, make changes or add extra services.
